Dear colleagues,

You are warmly invited to the 9^th World Congress on Particle Technology (WCPT9) in Madrid, Spain, 18^th-22^nd September 2022.

Particle technology has always been of major interest for many industries covering a wide range of fields (chemical, pharmaceutical, food production, mining, agricultural, civil engineering, advanced materials, energy …). The achievements that have been realized so far in particle technology have contributed significantly to achieve a better life, finding solutions that contribute to cover the needs of our society, such as those related with food, products, energy, or health, among others. Nowadays, the continuous growth of our society in a world with limited resources increasingly demands more sustainable solutions, which requires us to face the challenge of exploring beyond the frontiers of knowledge. In this regard the development of technologies for the handling and transport of particulate materials, their characterization and processing, the production of particle-based products, recycling, or the obtention of sustainable energy among others are crucial, and all of this must be done under safe and environmentally friendly conditions. Latest achievements are invited to be presented and discussed during the celebration of the 9^th World Congress on Particle Technology in Madrid.

We believe that the hospitality that distinguishes the Spanish culture will specially shine and show its best at the Congress’ venue: Madrid. A city well known for its vast historical legacy of impressive sights, delicious gastronomy, and excellent weather, it also offers top tier infrastructures and facilities that will be the perfect setting for WCPT9.

The Spanish Association for Chemist and Chemical Engineers (ANQUE) is honoured and privileged to organize the 9^th World Congress on Particle Technology with the support of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE), Deutsche Gesellschaft für chemisches Apparatewesen (DECHEMA), the Spanish Federation of the Chemical Industry (FEIQUE), the Spanish Forum Chemistry & Society (FQyS) and the Spanish Association of Solids Technology (Techsolids). We are honoured by the exceptional response to the WCPT9 and the quality and number of contributions.
